Department of Sociology

About the Department

Sociology is the systematic study of social behavior and human groups. It primarily focuses on how social relationships influence people’s attitudes and behaviors, as well as how societies are formed, structured, and transformed. As a field of study, sociology offers a broad and dynamic scope, addressing various aspects of human interaction and social institutions.

The Department of Sociology was established in 2005 and has since been dedicated to fostering the social and intellectual development of students. The department aims to enhance students’ awareness of societal norms, social behaviours, and interpersonal relationships, preparing them to better understand and engage with the world around them.
